Morning Coffee, Perspective, and Blue Skies

Every morning, my girlfriend and I ask each other what we’re grateful for while we enjoy our coffees.

She sat looking out the window and said, “I’m grateful for the blue sky.”

I sat across from her, looking out the other side of the same window.

“What blue sky?” I said. “All I see are clouds.”

“Turn around,” she said with a smile.

I moved toward her and turned around. A blue sky stretched out to the horizon – not a cloud in sight. It was painted with wispy hues of yellow and orange from the sunrise.

That moment reminded me of an important lesson:

In life, sometimes all you can see are clouds. But with a little movement in the right direction and a change of perspective, blue skies are waiting.

Have a great day. Go find your blue sky.

Love you lots.

❤️ Ian

    1. You’re right – perspective can be critical to helping us see and experience life differently, as well as help us take action and invest in people and things we care about! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I’m happy you’re here. – Ian
